Unfortunately, cancer is one of the most expensive diseases to treat. For patients, the treatment options and challenges can be staggering, and paying for the resulting bills can be a formidable barrier to effective care. Pharmaceutical manufacturers, non-profits, government agencies, and other charitable organizations offer financial assistance to both cancer patients and cancer survivors. However, finding and navigating theses assistance programs can be tricky, even for trained professionals.

In collaboration with the team at Vivor, we developed the PayRx Navigator. The system allows financial assistance professionals at oncology centers to enter patient information on diagnoses, treatment plans, and demographics. A dynamic rules engine then recommends potential financial assistance programs that fit a patient’s unique attributes. The system also helps manage the application workflow for these patients.
