Janice Cho

Head of Design
Janice began her adventure into the Visual Arts at a young age where she was trained in drawing and painting. With a deep interest in people, she received her undergraduate degree from UCSD in Human Development with an area of focus on Visual Arts. After spending a few years in marketing and advertising, as well as investing in her own passion projects, she attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago for her graduate studies, where she investigated the theory and practice of Human-Centered Design within different innovative business models. Her field research included redesigning a CPS school cafeteria using HCD methods, as well as working with NYC's Local Projects design studio, where she really fell in love with technology. Janice was born and raised in Los Angeles but has since made Chicago her home. When she's not participating in design projects, you can find her printing in letterpress studios, gardening in community gardens, traveling, practicing yoga, and reading books.
