Elena Putt
Jr Design Consultant
Elena has always been curious about how the ecological environment and built environment impact humans and how humans impact the world around them. To feed this curiosity, she went to Purdue University where she graduated with a degree in anthropology and explored environmental engineering and furniture design.
During school, Elena built and designed an installation that examined the history and life cycle of electronic waste. She believes it is important to deeply understand the people you are creating something for and to contextualize the environment where that output will live.
Elena has worked as a soap manufacturing assistant, a rowing coach, a bicycle delivery driver. In these positions, she learned that even soap making machinery needs to be cleaned, that patience and balance are required to stay afloat, and how to be freaky fast.
Prior to DevMynd Elena worked at Solstice where she learned to how to apply my anthropological skillset to the digital world. At DevMynd she is excited to continue using her research knowledge to support continuous growth as a designer and consultant.
In her spare time, Elena has accidentally cultivated small indoor farms, goes for runs along the lakefront, rows in the Lincoln Park Lagoon, or walks miles across the city for a good old-fashioned donut.
