As a child, Chris was fascinated by technology. From taking apart computers and figuring out how to put them together to exploring command line prompts on Windows 95, he was driven by a curiosity to figure out how computers work. He took that curiosity to the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, where he earned a BS in Computer Science with a concentration in Human-Computer Interaction. From there he went to work at a financial software company, picking up knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript, and Ruby on Rails. Taking a human-first approach to developing applications, Chris then worked as a Wordpress freelancer for a couple years while also writing and performing music with his band. After several national tours, he turned more of his attention to software, and joined Polymathic as a front-end/quality assurance hybrid engineer. Excited to bring his passion for people-first software to DevMynd, he joined the team as a Jr. Software Consultant shortly after they acquired Polymathic. When he is not developing, he is still writing and performing music.
