DevMynd, a digital design, strategy, and engineering firm in Chicago announces the appointment of two officers to its Board of Directors. The new appointments are Thomas Fisher, MD, MPH, and President of Next Level Health, and Paul Steinberg, CTO, Motorola Solutions.
The appointments follow DevMynd’s recently announced strategic focus on the Impact Sector, a horizontal group of industry categories that directly influence human experience. “This is an exciting time in the growth of our organization. 2016 was a pivotal year for us, with the addition of some growth funding we are looking forward to a very strong 2017. And, in sharpening our mission to focus on the Impact Sector we will be applying our expertise to some really meaningful challenges”, said JC Grubbs, CEO, DevMynd.
Mr. Fisher, in addition to working with Next Level Health, is a board certified emergency physician at the University of Chicago and has worked as a White House Fellow for the US Department of Health and Human Services, specifically editing the regulations for Patient Protection and the Affordable Care Act. His personal mission is to address today’s deep and systemic issues in healthcare and preventative medicine.

To translate these developments into longer lives and better health, brand new tools and solutions that include the most vulnerable among us will be necessary. I am ecstatic to join the DevMynd board as they become involved in creating the digital healthcare solutions of the future”, said Thomas Fisher, MD, MPH, and President of Next Level Health.
Mr. Steinberg, joins DevMynd’s board through its partnership with Motorola Solutions, a leader in public safety technology and communications. At Motorola, he oversees the company’s overall technology vision and venture strategy; driving focused innovation around market needs. Before joining Motorola in 1992, he was a distinguished member of the technical staff at AT&T Bell Laboratories. He also serves on the board of numerous technology firms and is a trustee for the Adler Planetarium in Chicago.
“Both of our organizations look forward to working together on several fronts…We’re pursuing technological advances such as interoperable mobile applications for mission-critical communications and collaboration, enhanced situational awareness, real-time rich messaging, data analytics, and artificial intelligence. All of these are on the immediate horizon and we are looking for DevMynd to help us get these capabilities to our customers”, said Mr. Steinberg.
In addition to the board appointments, Mr. Grubbs indicated that additional appointments will be made to further support the firm’s mission in Impact Sector categories.
